Will mentioned that I have no blogged in a while, and I guess that is true. I've been really busy. Last weekend we had a biggie... best outing in along time I say. The occassion... to celebrate Clem and Sharon's birthday!
Oliver's
Sat night started at Oliver's in Northbridge which was quite pleasant. I would definately go back again. Affordable and a decent range of surprisingly refined dishes. Will, Terry, Adrian and I had come here before, on a random night out, and from what I remembered it had pretty good food back then. But this night... well, maybe it was the company, but it was definately something memorable. The atmosphere was warm and modernly 'Italianish' homely. I split the pizza and salad with Chrissy and Vanni which made a really nice light but substantial meal to keep us going for the night. Will ordered the steak which came with a side of fries. The steak was pretty good. Definately something that I'll order next time as it really worked well with the glass of red that I had ordered. It was definately better than the steak at 'The Mez' in Northbridge which I was not impressed with at all. (I had ordered a medium rare, and it came well done, plus the mushroom sauce was almost like those instant gravy mix.)
Terry's Morrocian Lamb looked perfect actually, and the garlic bread which we had ordered was by far one of the tastiest garlic bread's I've had at a restaurant. Just a warning, you would probably need to consider eating it with a knife and fork if you don't want getting a bit of grease on your fingers. Galilee had baked Clem's birthday cake which was Tiramisu. She did a fantastic job! It looked very nice, and it tasted... well just the way I like it. It was light and not too sweet! Perfect finish for the dinner.
The Library
After Dinner we all made our way to The Library. I had not been there since the Bananaroo's windup last year so I was curious as to whether it was still the same. Terry was not allowed in because of his shoes (AGAIN) so he went back home and changed. (Note, only the weekend before we had gone to Minq at Burswood and he was refused entry there because of his shoes... ) We met part of the Volleyball crew which was cool and the night... well it was just turned out really well. Maybe I really needed to cut loose after all my assignments... We made our way to the second floor and then found a little rnb room where we spent the majority of the night in.
Shaz and I were like... dancing fever and made frequent stops at the toilets hehehe. There were a lot of photos taken that night, and yea, it definately reflected the night we had. Lots of fun, just hanging around a good group of friends, and everyone drinking. In the end we left at around 4am...
Will, Clem, Galilee and I waited in the long taxi line for our ride back home. But that wait in itself wasnt too bad. Was relatively quick, except when there were those people who would take a taxi for just themselves and no one else *GRRRR.*
Group Pic - So much going on in here
